Mixed news

"You will find that the State is the kind of organization which, though it does big things badly, does small things badly, too."
- John Kenneth Galbraith

In "news" today, New York Times has an article about Windows being slow - which of course unknown to most people ;) The same article focuses on the next Windows, which has been delayed yet again, after the original release date should have been in 2003-04 now the date is set to January 2007... No further comment needed.

Other news states that the Swedish are the fourth most intelligent people in Europe, after Germans, the Dutch and polish people. The University of Ulster made the research. The professor in lead claims that people in colder climates have developped bigger brains, and continues by claiming that the greatest influence on IQ is the diet. However, considering that an older result from the same source shows that men are more intelligent than women by an average of 5 points on the IQ scale, I suppose a lot of people will say that the 30 year research is made up...

Of course, when starting with a quote one must end with a quote:
"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."
- Galileo Galilei
