First photo and lazy sundays

As promised, I'm sharing the first photo I took with my new phone :-) In full size, the quality is a bit grainy. However, I believe it's pretty easy to fix the graininess if wanted, so it's not a major problem. The voice recorder quality is excellent, just like the mp3-player. I'm not sure about the video recorder, since I only tried it in a pretty dark pub late on a friday night....

Today is Sunday, also known as pizza day, movie day, lazy day or simply sitting-down-to-do-as-little-as-possible-day. I'm still considering doing some workout, or at least 15-20 minutes of yoga. I probably have to take a few minutes to find suitable articles and tutorials for my Thesis project as well - but I'll limit that to 10-15 minutes of work.

Perhaps I should instead concentrate on which pizza to get later, or the increasinbgly important decission regarding if I should have coke, beer, water or milk with the pizza - I wish I had wine, but since I'm in Sweden I don't have that choicein a normal store....

Happy Pizza day to everyone!!

WoW!!!

What an incredible day!!

Starting with a new phone...

In the afternoon I here rumours, and then see interviews - Helsingborg finally signed the best swedish player ever!!

... and I just got off the phone with yet another recruiter from Britain!! He was sad to hear that I'm writing my Thesis and won't be available until September, but seemed like he'll get back to me then!!

Good enough day for me - I'm not sure I'll be able to get any work at all done today, with this constant positive headrush I'm having :-D

New phone!!

I finally got my new cell phone!!

I Finally got the phone!!!

The Phone - I finally got it!!

... but now I have to charge the battery for 24 hours according to the manual...

... I hope 22-23 hours will be enough, since that's when I'm leaving for Copenhagen tomorrow (around 10.30-11.00)...

I have a new Phone!!!

I have a SmartPhone!!

I have a Motorola MPx220, and so far I'm happy about it :-)

Tomorrow I'll start taking pictures with it - also in the mirror to share my joy ;-)

MuaHaHaHaHa!!! New Phone!!

Hopefully I don't have to use MS programs to sync it with the comp, even though there's Windows Mobile Operating System on it...

Joy oh Joy I am finally updated into the age of technology - from caveman to ITman in a day ;-)

New GG, Tired Mornings and Dried out brain

Well, I started another day really slow - watched the latest GG ep after seeing the swedish Curling team lose against Norway (a sad day indeed for swedish curling, but we'll beat them in the semifinal according to the commentator ;-)) .

I continuued checking the postal company's site for when my phone is supposed to arrive, and all I can see is that at 02:50 in the night it arrived in Malmö, and ever since it's been "on the way" to Helsingborg - which of course for a normal driver wouldn't take more than 45-60 minutes - and after 9 hours it still hasn't reached further. I think the flow of information is great ;-) Hopefully I'll get my new phone tomorrow...

Currently I'm back to programming, checking a few tutorials etc. I actually found a number of video tutorials which I'm using now - even though I'm not actually doing any of what's in the tutorials I still find it helpfull to have them running in the background :-) The tutorials are about programming C# with the program Visual C# 2005 - which is very similar to Visual Studio, which I'm using.

Update (16:14): The package tracking site was updated 10 minutes after I wrote the post - saying that the package had arrived in Helsingborg about 1.5 hour earlier. Now it was updated again, saying that it arrived at my local post office. I'll still wait a while before going there, since it most often takes them a while to sort the package deliveries...

By the way, I'm feeling much better after talking to my Hunney on the phone - I was a bit shaky before :-)

Must haves and Cant does

Concerning a future apartment there is just some features it has got to have.

For instance I gotta have a nice book shelf, preferebly in dark wood.
ofcourse this would be nice with a reading corner
including a good looking ,
stylish but comfy reading chair and a fitting foodstool
all in the same wood ofcourse, and maybe leather on the chair
along with a reading lamp , harods/ library style
that corner could be combined with a rollable bar table/board,
in case I wanna have a glass of rioja with my studies :o)

Well ofcourse there is a cheaper alternative to all of the above ,
but thats the ideal situation.

The bathroom except for the bathtub which we discussed in detail
-I believe ;) -
I will cover another time.
Since now its movie time for
Hanni - thats me :o)
The red nosed bunny

Have a good one (o:

Wishes dreams thoughts - what the world is made of

Sometimes my thoughts just run around - reaching out for weird dreams I could have never thought through any logical line of reasoning....

Some days I think of what I wish for the future. Since I've been a "poor student" for ages now, the dreams I have wouldn't be seen as grandiose by the "common John", but to me there's still a lot to aim for....

Some dreams and wishes I have I could make realistic soon - like for example getting an apartment which doesn't make me psychotic, getting a cam phone (which I actually ordered a few days ago), finishing all those books I started reading, or going to Germany again in march - which I'll probably do. Still, since in the future, they're all still dreams or wishes....

Of course, I also have some dreams reaching longer into the future - which I have no idea of if they will become a reality or not. These include such minor things as getting an apartment (or house) of at least 5 rooms (of course the bigger the better), with rooms such as a gigantic bedroom for me and my Hanni, a big study/library/office - with at 2-3 computers, walls filled with bookshelves full of books - a living room with a "tv wall" (probably a projector etc.) and 5.1 sound (or greater) to watch movies (anything from Casablanca to the latest blockbuster and interesting indie movies - and of course some sitcoms to relax).

The fourth room would be a hobby room, containing anything you need to for example draw, paint, create Lage robots etc .etc. The most important room in the apartment would be the one where there's relaxation, where one can sit and relax, listen to classic music, look at and cut the bonsai... This is a room where I would install a music player, giving the chance of dancing with my Hanni all night long :-)

The troubles we go through

I hope my Hanni Bunny is having a great test :-) I'm sure you know it all

Today I've been trying to figure out how to find important parameters of a camera (camera calibration) - without great luck... This partially depends on not knowing what the video I'll work with looks like - well I won't bore you more here, it's ni the HunDev blog ;-)

I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with the happenings of my kitchen sink - which has become flooded every second day since I came home from Germany. This happens a bit too often - I notice it almost every time a neighbour uses water, either for shower or kitchen use etc. Annoying indeed... I've bought some soda to clear the pipes - I hope it helps!! Calling the plumber is only the last option, since it hasn't really helped any of the other times he came here. But I'll do that on monday if nothing helps - maybe there's a new plumber working this neighbourhood now :-D

New phone :-)

I finally ordered a new phone - with camera and everything :-D Now I can take photos of my Hanni every time I see her... I just hope it doesn't take too long before it gets here.... Either way, soonb I'll finally be able to use my swedsih cell phone number again - which I've started to really miss!

In other news today, I started searching for articles relating to my thesis subject, and found one which does almost exactly what I need to do in my part - that is , putting 3D objects in a photo and making it look like they belong there.... Now I just have to understand how they do it ;-)

Grade and Packing - and expensive city life

WooHoo!!! The grade is 10! 10 is the Grade!! I'm pretty satisfied with my Advanced Computer Graphics grade!! :-D

I'm currently packing for my little trip to Germany - and it seems as if though I've packed more of my cute little girlfriends things than my own. I've packed an extremely thick sweater which takes hafl of the luggage space, accompanied by a pencil sharpener, some books, a hat, some scarf's (spelled scarves?) and a bag made of cloth - and I didn't even get to my own stuff yet ;-p

Last night I finished yet another project - what is it about projects, even short ones, that make you a bit sad to be finished with that? Is it because you see them grow from nothing, get attached by fixing all its problems and challenges, and then see it go out in the "real world".... That reminds me of something - I wonder what..!?

I still didn't get the books I ordered from Amazon, even though I expected them 2-3 days ago... Well, according to the site, they're not really supposed to be here until sometime between February 2nd and 15th - but I'm so used to those orders coming early that I was hoping I'd get them before travelling to Germany.

Today I'll use most of the day packing, considering thesis projects and programming a basis for the thesis project application. I'll also try to find a lot of time to simply rest, since I didn't sleep too many hours last night - caffeine really affects me, especially when drinking a litre of coffee and 1.5 liters of coke... so it's my own fault I guess :-)

I just found out that London is not more expensive to live in than Copenhagen, and Tokyo is no longer (after 14 years on top) the most expensive in the world. The list is as follows (danish city names):

1. (3) Oslo
2 .(1) Tokyo
3. (8) Reykjavik
4. (2) Osaka Kobe
4. (4) Paris
6. (5) København
7. (7) London
8. (6) Zürich
9. (8) Geneve
10. (10) Helsinki

Source: The Economist (via Berlingske Tidende)

Since London is so cheap, I see no reason not to move there ;-p So why am I not surprised about seeing so mony Nordic cities in the list? Actually I'm surprised the swedish capitol didn't make it - but maybe next year...
